Episode 7: Recipe for Raw Oatmeal
These are the ingredients that I like to use in my raw oatmeal – not only for their delicious flavor, but also for their healing properties. You can customize your raw oatmeal to your own taste.
(Approximate quantities – suit them to your liking)
- ½ – ¾ Cup Raw Oat Groats
- ¼ Cup Hemp Milk
- 1 Teaspoon Chia Seeds
- ½ Teaspoon Black Sesame Seeds
- 1Teaspoon Coconut Oil
- 1 Teaspoon Raw Honey
- Pinch Cinnamon
- Pinch Cardamom
- Pinch Nutmeg
Morning: Place Raw Oat Groats in a bowl. Rinse them a few times, till water is fairly clear. Soak the rinsed groats in water, and cover with a porous towel.
Evening: Drain, rinse and re-soak groats, and cover with a porous towel overnight.
Day of: Drain water from oat groats, and place them in a food processor. Combine with remaining ingredients. Pulse to desired thickness. Top with fruit, toasted pumpkin seeds, nuts, or anything you want!
