Episode Six Recipe for Almond Love Cookies

Makes about 2 dozen cookies


  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Cup Light Cane Sugar
  • 1 Cup Chopped Almonds
  • Zest of about 1/2 Lemon
  • 1 Capful of Orange Blossom Water (This is totally optional. You can find Orange Blossom Water in a Middle Eastern or Indian Market, or specialty culinary supply store)
  • 1 Cup White Whole Wheat Flour


Preheat oven to 375°F. Place Light Cane Sugar and Two Eggs into a mixing bowl. When the eggs and sugar are fully mixed in, add Almonds, Lemon Zest and Orange Blossom Water. Slowly Sift in flour, and mix on a medium setting until the all of the ingredients are thoroughly combined. Transfer the batter onto a cookie sheet (I use a baking mat, but you can butter or spray a regular cookie sheet.) Spread the entire batter into a thin layer. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the edges are golden brown. Let cool 1 minute, then cut into squares.
*Note: professional baking mats may be made out materials that becomes toxic when cut. Use a dull knife and exercise caution if you choose to use one.
